Parkrun times don't count in the 5k race league. I assume Fetch virtual races do, though.

You'll need log them as races but going to the race tab and finding the races, then recording your times.

Oops, I'm mistaken, parkruns do feature in the 5k league. I'm sure there's some 5k table that excludes parkruns. Or was. Or I could be making that up. It wouldn't be the first time.

Another question still you are all still being nice for the moment. What is the point of Groups? I've joined a few but really it's the forum it links to, is that right?

Good question TBR. In all honesty, they don’t offer a lot of value. If you join one, it means the person who is in charge of the group can contact you all in bulk. I use them sometimes to communicate stuff to various people; and if someone is organising a get-together, it can be a way for them to keep an eye on numbers etc. But most stuff happens via watched threads on the forum. Groups have been round for ***ages*** but never really been improved on the basic functionality.

He didn't like it when we started referring to him as "Lord Fetch" a while back so we stopped. It's usually just "Fetch" but he's certainly been called worse than "Sir" once or twice.;-)

Morning everyone, I (re)created my account here a few days before the strava announcement, mainly because I have started to training to HR and wanted the "Beats per Mile" stat that strava doesn't show. For me, I never used the strava segment stuff so that's not an issue for me, although the layout of Training Log was a nice to have. But I doubt I'll be paying as I have my own spreadsheet which tracks various stuff anyway.

Anyway, I'm a regular poster over on the Shades Marathon training thread on Runner's World, and will hopefully pop in over here too :)

Hi BG. I'm interested in the benefits of the beats per mile stats? I'm a newbie to heart rate training

The training log stats here are much better than the other place Big_G. Welcome aboard.
