Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I used to regularly get one based on our old house (which thankfully didn’t look anything like our house) but people would be trying to get in to take and destroy our dogs. I have no idea what my brain tries to do to me. 😬

I dreamt that I was making a sort-of lasagne in a hollowed out small wholemeal (or possibly granary) loaf.

Sam and I were looking around a gorgeous but decrepit arts and crafts house that was being sold by owners who had been involved in a decades long legal dispute with someone who wanted to build a road through it, and the patriarch figure insisted on showing us a whole presentation about it.

Then it turned out the family was actually the Hargreaves from Umbrella Academy and I got involved with trying to save Klaus from his cult.

I liked that dream, it was pretty good, but I woke up. I went back to dozing and had some little bitty dreams.

In one I was back at the jewey shop I worked in at uni; a man came in looking for a ring with a very specific stone because it's named after as beach where his family were fishers for several generations, but I couldn't find inner in our stock. There next day they owner had found one, and I was trying to take photos of it to send to the customer when another man came in and picked it up from the counter, tried it on, and decided he wanted to buy it too.

I think I woke up again, because the next one was completely different, I don't think I was me, I was like a character in a 90s drama. Some bloke I didn't really like was quite persistently trying to get me to go out with him, but rather than telling him to sod off I allowed him to drive me somewhere (I think it was supposed to be home) but he claimed he couldn't park nearby, so instead her parked in front of a grand looking hotel and suggested we go into the bar for a drink and pretend to be rich, and I thought it would need funny so I went along with it.

He ordered expensive champagne, but they only had a house brand cava which the water tried to convince us was classier. Part of the pretence about being rich seemed to also include pretending we were a couple, and then I think this chap I didn't like thought he could trap me by making a public proposal, which I accepted, but when her suggested we should get a room at the hotel that night to celebrate I refused on the basis that we couldn't possibly sleep together before the wedding.

I’ve just woken from a horrible one. But very odd!

I was part of a work group who had agreed to play a (charity?) rugby match against a Japanese team - in Japan! Japan seems to have moved to the vicinity of Scotland here! My parents had decided to come with me for a daytrip to Japan. I’d driven us down and left them sightseeing.

It all went wrong from there. I had my bag stolen in the town when sitting down. It had my money, car keys, information and kit. Fortunately I seemed to have 3 phones and was able to get hold of my work colleagues and meet up with them. They lent me kit (no socks though) and we prepared for the match. However the other side were notorious and there was lots going on ahead of the big event - I remember warm up acts which were rather violent. I then asked my colleagues who’d played rugby before - only 2 people!

I texted my mum about losing my car keys and searched for trains home. They cost over £300 per person. Dad already a ticket for some reason. However mum’s texts were full of photos of what they were seeing and she didn’t appear to be understanding the problem.

Next we were on our way to the match. Somehow I was driving but not my car and it was scary as cars were overtaking and almost hitting me and I was driving on the left whereas I normally drove on the right. Then I parked and started walking towards the venue following the crowds but not knowing where I was going or where I’d parked the car. I followed a couple down a steep slope. However it was the wrong way and he was stuck at the bottom and we were stuck part way down. Thankfully I woke up at this point.

I was being hunted down as enemy number one. Firstly by dinosaurs then by intellectual aliens.

I first hid under the stairs in a community hall with a large coat on me having made sure that I had drawn all the curtains. Next, in a cardboard box on the floor of a car or minibus.

Having succeeded, I took part in a two lap half-marathon but was told to be careful at a certain point. My wife then said that I could go for a swim with the family by wearing a rubber mask. An alien watched me get into a lift but didn't stop me.

Sam and I were living in a fancy apartment complex that was mostly otherwise occupied with retired people, so had a sort of retirement home vibe. It was common practice for people to keep things outside the door, many people had shoe racks or chests of drawers with a few niknaks on them, that sort of thing.
There was also a story of management committee that enforced times about how much space you could take up in the hall and that sort of thing, and they took exception to Sam putting a stand with a load of his ultra medals on our hallway chest of drawers (which contained mostly running shoes and dog paraphernalia), it turned into a massive fight with me arguing that it didn't break any of the rules so they had no grounds to demand he move it, and him wanting to just give in for an easier life.

I was talking to a friend and he asked me how my week has been. I said that it had been stressful on two counts:
1. A bereavement (this is true as my father-in-law passed away two days ago).
2. A baby - my wife had given birth to our third child, a girl (untrue as I had prostate surgery 2.5 years ago).
There may be some meaning to this which I need to look into.
