Ohhhhh, sounds perfect DT! Hmmm... I love that thick, creamyness, one sip and it is gone, but the flavour is worth at least a litre of other coffees!

Sounds amazing Tup. The espressos I had in Italy made my eyes pop out on stalks!
Hann, I'm with you. African coffee is too fruity for me. I love a s-e Asian or south American.

I was shocked. I think it helped that the previous week’s chemo was beginning to wear off. It affected my taste buds in a really odd way - flattening some flavours and amplifying others

Had to walk quarter of a mile today from the office for a flat white! Was avoiding Prat A Minger, Starbleurghs et al and normal nearest local coffee retailers next door to office were both closed! Actually, there were probably a couple closer than that - but an extra 15 mins away from desk on a bank holiday Monday is no bad thing! G

Tup - I've just read your blog. I've been off here for a while. Didn't know you were having chemotherapy. I hope you're coping OK. I can see you've been getting out and about with Stef and Tuss + short runs. Hardcore!
A coffee out today at Thali cafe. No idea what but it was nice and smooth. There's a local cafe here called 21 which my local pals and I have stopped using for coffee due to it being citrusy.

Red - been at hospital seven hours today (mostly hanging around) but been out for a kilometre walk just now. I’m okay, better than okay, thanks. I had nothing to eat for nearly 12 hours and could destroy a good thali now

They do a good thali and a lovely masala dosa + lots of other delights. V spoilt in this area. Jeevan, further down the road does an amazing set meal of the day to have in or takeaway; being Sikh-run as you can imagine their saag is out of this world. Sorry - you probably don't want to know all that stuck where you are feeling famished!
