The run this morning was lovely but I opted out of the 'knobbly' (our leader's description) path up the final steep hill and came back to the car park via the tarmac lane. I wasn't the only one The path I opted out of is the diagonal one on the far field in this photo - the lane went straight up on the far right hand side

Morning all. Found parkrun very hard this morning, don't think I'll be winning the cup this year I did come first in my age category, however. |

Morning all. Sadly I think I’m not going to make it for Chester Metric Marathon tomorrow. My knee is just too sore and I think it would be foolish to try to go that distance when I’d only be treating it as a training run ☹️

Morning gonks. I'm behind on the thread! That's a shame CD, but that's a long distance if you're not feeling right. Upton House parkrun was gorgeous, I'm still a bit snotty from having a cold so 26.04 is fine for today. Now for the journey back to Chesterfield. Sal is going to be Han Solo (pilot), she did 31.04 today, taking it easier than usual as we've got a 10K tomorrow. 🫠 I will be Chewbacca, Co pilot and maker of weird noises. U ticked off from the parkrun alphabet challenge. Only V and Z to go! |

Finally got back into a normal week’s running after a month out with injury. My watch thinks I’m overdoing it. |

Did Heslington parkrun today and decided to go for it. First 3.5km fine and then had a wobble around 4k and walked a bit but I did it - new parkrun PB! That PB has stood since the first parkrun I did on 3rd November 2012! Course is a bit long so my 28:00 (exactly) is my new parkrun PB and my 5k time is 27:24! Sombrero I had my buff from you round my wrist as I ran 😃 |
