So many great things from 700ers this weekend! You're all marvellous :-)

Me, not so much; my training plan called for 20 mins easy pace, 20 mins @10k pace then 20 mins easy again.
I did the first 20 mins easy (of course I did ;-) ) going slowly uphill, then cheated a bit by doing the middle 20 mins downhill :-) I only did 10 minutes of the last section - it was sooo windy along the seafront and I wasn't feeling the love. But some running, slow as it was, is better than none.

Well done racers!

I’m back from a trip to That London for the Vitality 10,000. 3 minutes slower than my PB but that’s understandable because it was from 2016. But it was a better WAVA than my 2016 time :)

That result also means I’ve reached Greyhound (53) standard this year, my previous best was Pewter (50). I’ve had some WAVA 55 races in previous years but not had 3 good results in one year before.

Thankfully I got my number though the post OK, but it seems many people didn’t and apparently there was chaos, confusion and long queues to get duplicate numbers. 🙈

Great stuff, FDNB, Kim, Som, carp and the rest!

I have no standard yet this year. It's nearly October and I have only raced two distances. 5km and 50 miles.

Great weekend’s racing bunting for all

Also have no real standard this year and am unlikely to race sensible distances on sensible surfaces to get one. At the moment it’s sitting at 32 as two long LDWA events are counted.
