Feeling quite perky, a 16 mile bike ride followed by a couple of miles run. I couldn't have a swim :-( but at least it was 2/3 of a tri - which is what I should have been doing down in Exmouth today :-(

Pleasant 4 mile run along the base then back over Ibsley Common. Everywhere very busy, but everyone also very polite & social - even with the stop & wait at passing places on the road there and back.
But equally lots to look at, whether running or driving.

Or the newer, younger model (hastily shot from a passing place)

I think that's the case round here um - plenty of people out and about, but today the only people I've seen not observing the 2m rule were 5 mountain bikers coming down the road in a bit of a huddle. Everyone else seems to have got into the habit, and acknowledges avoiding action with a nod and a smile. Quite different from the early days of lockdown.

Went out feeling pretty good and aiming for 10 miles. I'm not sure what happened but after 3 I felt quite ropey, and all the public loos are obviously shut, so I ran 3 more and then took the decision to walk 1.5 home.

After a chat with Bint yesterday I've updated my marathon training plan for Brighton (now very tentatively scheduled for 20 September) and will start trying to follow it again as of 1 June. I doubt very much that the race will happen but really need something to focus on at the moment, and good training never goes to waste (unlike all the carbs I've been eating lately which have most definitely gone to my waist).

Afternoon all.

Swithered about running today due to the rain. Eventually went out. Just in time for it stopping. I too could have done with a toilet being open. Was chuffed at remembering there was a petrol station not too far off route. Hugely disappointed to find it didn’t have a toilet! Bladder held out though. Phew!

Social distancing well observed here too.

Sounds a good idea Paula. Gives you some incentive. I think we’re all on the same lockdown diet at the moment. Too scared to look at scales!
