Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Through it not over it um! Any tips would be gratefully received, I usually only suffer when I wear the wrong shoes which I think is what set this off. It’s getting better slowly but still not there yet!

Anything not moving still had ice in it Dr F !

Achilles treatments I have used over the years (all except the last recommended by a physio)
- gentle stretch - when sitting, write the alphabet (in lower case) in the air. (with foot raised, not resting on the floor)
- stronger stretch - heel drops on a step/stair (I typically do a rotation of 15L, 10R,15L, 10R, 15L as it's my left one that needs help, I have yet to get strong enough, or light enough, to balance completely on one leg)

- wear compression socks when running (knee length)
- rub deep heat (or similar) into achilles & calf before putting on the compression socks. (may make you less popular in the mid or post run pub)

Small print : always consult a Dr before taking random advice off the web

Oh - I forgot - wash hands very well after applying deep heat, especially before touching any other body parts.

Evening all. At Heathrow :-) Heading to Cape Town tonight for my sister’s wedding on Saturday.

Extra bonus: I found the Garmin 245 watch I’ve been eying out significantly cheaper so I got it! Joint Christmas and birthday present :-) :-)

Nice, PH. Have a good flight.

I like Leeds, Turkhish, but haven't been there for years.

I ran too and did yoga. Now I need to work.

I don't think I've ever been to Leeds.

rest day today, I shall have to run in the dark tomorrow morning before the window fitters get here - if you see me lingering over a 2nd tea in the morning send Sharktopus or a cattle prod
