Morning - late start for me as I had an eye test first thing. Fascinating really! I continue to keep vari-focals at bay but have agreed to try contact lenses for running in next month. Gorgeous sunny day here which is a boost.

I put on some oldish knee high boots today. They are so tight on my calves I could hardly zip them up! When did that happen? It does make me feel better about being on the "wrong" side of 60kg. I will never be under that weight again and it really is muscle. Mostly.

I've just been told I need to concentrate on losing weight as I'm now overweight and have put on 11kg since I was last weighed at the GPs 8 months ago. She also told me what it was in pounds and ounces which I've been desperately avoiding. I'm now really upset.

(( Carp )) That’s so demoralising I have lost 7 kilos since Nov by dull following of under armour tracker low carb low sugar high fat and high protein it has been slow but I’ve wanted to get quicker and everything else in my life is stable. It was the right time for me to lose weight and I’m doing it for me. You can do the same but your odd hours poor sleep and studying risk are not necessarily conducive to focusing on weight loss without spiralling into the worst kind of self fat shaming. You may be better focusing on trying to slot in exercise at the moment and keeping as fit as you can xxxx |

More ((Carp))s + 1 for what serendippily said except I’m on the up not down. We really don’t need that. OH was told he was overweight with high cholesterol & needed statins (he said no thanks). The fact that he cycles up hills like a fit youngstet, walks miles every day & has loads of muscle was never taken into consideration. My bike’s broken had to push it home 😂 |
