Oh, and if you have to go to a mandatory course on your day off, surely you need another day off? (Because you haven’t had a day off.)

Would have got the time back

But ended up not going as there was a dead train blocking the line!

Afternoon, gorgeous picture.
Fearing for my 10 miles race on Sunday unless things clear up as quick as it came.

I've cancelled tomorrow morning's club run. The forecast is so dire (-4*, snow showers, gale force winds) it seems wisest :-(

I bet the snowpocalypse forecast doesn't come true now ;-)

Everyone who's commented on my club run cancellation has approved so I feel less wimpish now.

Just got round to checking the chip times for last Sunday's race. My chip time was 1:02:52 which somehow seems so much better (ie less bad ;-) ) than my Garmin time of 1:03:06 :-)

School's closed again tomorrow, so another day off work for me. My poor parents were supposed to go on holiday, flying out of Edinburgh at 8:30 this morning to Paris. So far they have managed to fly to Heathrow, which is a step in the right direction I suppose. Meanwhile we have snow-blasted ourselves walking to the nearest slopey ground to sledge on. It is still snowing, having snowed more or less non-stop since lunchtime. More sledging tomorrow, then :-)

You'd better have you snow shovels outnon Monday. I am coming and do not want stuck in closed airport/shit train stations thanks very much.

It’ll be back to rain by then according to the forecast ITG.
OMFG, that run was the coldest thing I’ve ever done. A wind that sliced off the Solent and straight through every layer. And I wore so many I looked like a Tellytubby.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
