Columba
I would count walking to Tesco or the paper shop, provided it's a reasonable distance and the walking was brisk.

Columba - I tend to think in terms of if I put on special clothing or shoes .. although nearly all of my 2018 walking/hiking was in sandals and shorts. The exceptions were Monsal Trail & Dovetail (Feb) and Stiperstones (Sept). But I don't do WSW ...

I log all walks within my WSW grid and any 'hikes' I do anywhere (not often).
WSW has definitely got me walking more around my local area (the buses are just too convenient not use without a prompt from WSW). I see it as no bad thing - even when it is not brisk walking.

I have started to log walks of purpose or length, mostly for WSW purposes.
Marathon tomorrow. Off-road, water drops but no checkpoints, self-navigated, tough terrain.
I ought to be in bed really but I fell asleep at 8pm and woke up at 11. Ooops.
