Do you think they've hidden the kettle, Linds, or do they just not have one? I know lots of people like to keep their work surfaces clear (I am not one of them!) but most would at least keep the kettle out.

No kettle = something Not Right. Agree with saucepan solution.
Just bought (ruinously expensive) noooooo shoooz. Apparently, I don't over-pronate any more (that, or U&R were really keen to offload some of their standard stock!).
