We didn’t go wrong but my Garmin said it was actually 23k.

Ah, that farmer. He was pleasant enough when we spoke to him but those horses are mental.

I went through a few fields with horses but they were all very well-behaved.

Sounded like some people went through with less than perfectly controlled dogs, so I can’t blame him for being a bit exasperated.

Evening all :)

Gatliffe sounds like a good day out (apart from skittish horses and annoyed farmers that is)

is the weekend over already? please don't say it's Monday soon :(

I don't want to rub salt in the wound RH, but when OH decided to semi-retire five years ago I thought he should have Friday as his day off but he chose Monday. It has transformed our weekends as we no longer have that Sunday evening gloom. Monday evenings don't have the same gloominess, somehow. He won't often hear me say this, but he was right and I was wrong :-)

That's a good shout, Daisy - a friend of mine at the salt-mine with young kids works Wednesday - Friday and always talks about Sunday night schaudenfreude. ;)

6 drizzly, square-hunting* miles - feeling properly tired after 40 miles this week.

I dragged myself out to avert a binge eating session, and decided to plan a careful route to win my match.
Didn't clip the corner of one square so it's bloody tied!

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2018 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Next year's spreadsheet can be found here - let's fill it up
