Carp - don't fret and just get out the door tonight. A short run would help more than staying at home fretting about the lack of long runs.
ITG - that's piss-poor from the CC company. Anything we can do? (e.g. borrow a cc number from one of us until yours is sorted?)

Dooogs, nooooo!
I am horrified at the thought of borrowing someone else's card! Anyway, I have a husband for that My problem is more "point of sale" as I will have to use cash for everything until I get back home on 16th October but fortunately I have about 100 pounds in Danish money which should last till I get to an ATM, or worst case, Monday, when I can borrow $$$ from a colleague there if need be.
I'm a bit disappointed with the visa company (Icelandic). I sent the email with a cellphone photo of the written form (no scanner at hotel) and got an autoreply. They still have not sent me a personal reply to say they are taking action. I called again and was told it had been flagged and they were looking into it. Might take up to 45 days.

4 soaking wet, horrid miles - I'd forgotten how much I hate getting wet through. Still, Streaksaver done. I need an obscenely hot shower and a fluffy towel...
