First spinning session at the gym today in about 25 years. Now I know why I'm so sh** on the bike. I nearly died after about 10 minutes. Will have to go back. I like a challenge!
ION, pay day means race entering for 2018. I seem to have entered White Star Running's Ox 50 in May. Oops. At least it is E24 style laps. I like the idea of doing a 1/4 marathon the night before too Might try and persuade FM to join me again.
Julian Farrell 10k on Sunday with Fleecy if legs have recovered from spinning class.

Entered a trail half marathon (tomorrow) which I now can't do. That's OK, I thought, I purchased cancellation insurance when I booked it as I noticed they offered it and I thought it would be useful if I was needed to be at home at short notice. Which I am.
First problem - couldn't find any info from the race organisers. Searched all emails, nothing. Half an hour of to-ing and fro-ing between the race people and the company who organise the bookings, then another half an hour of on-line chat with an adviser, and finally they found my entry. I'd not been registered at all, but they gave me a reference number.
Contacted the insurers and after working my way through the form I find that I can only cancel with a doctor's certificate/letter from my employers saying why they've relocated me/letter from the Armed Forces explaining why I've been called into service, etc.
Bums.

Very poor Paula. Sounds to me like you've been mis-sold.
Good morning from Paris. parkrun is on the cards this morning - well it better be as it's the only reason I'm here. Has anyone else ever travelled to a different country just to do a parkrun (utterly ridiculous).
Thanks Dipps. Yes meeting up with ds at school was fine and offending articles were removed. I had to laugh when he stormed past a friend in a rage shouting "I've got to go to fucking Paris and I don't want to". Poor little privileged boy.
