Still on my running ban until the weekend, thanks for asking. Ankle not responding well to driving and high heels, neither of which I can avoid right now. Not sure how to start back running. Was thinking C25K but think it might bore the shit out of me. Also wd like to go back to parkrun soon.

I know a podcast you might like Also, pretty sure heels aren't compulsory at work unless you're a pole dancer...

I was also wondering why heels were compulsory, Linds? Don't the men find it tricky to find high heels in the bigger sizes?
I am feeling very pleased with my swim. Slow, obvs, even slower than before my broken elbow, but for the first time since April I swam a non-stop 1km My stroke looks worse than ever as I can't get 'high elbows' on either arm (my right upper arm is really painful - is it tendinitis? torn rotator cuff? no idea) but at least I'm moving forward through the water

LD, you might find that your balance is off swimming, e.g. your "good" arm is much stronger than your weak arm. This will put more pressure on your good side and can knock your posture off - hence the tendonitis. It's probably good to do some light weights work with hand-weights (kettlebells or dumbells) as by doing one hand at a time, there is no chance for your weaker arm to profit from your stronger arm.

the swim, LD, sorry you're arm's giving you grief though. Some swimmers swing their arms out a bit more than than focused high elbows, it might help. Swim buddy Helen might know, & Christine. She goes to killer squad sessions.
I agree with ugh heels comments, beautifully put & the typo back there <
Planked, was hard, I cheated as advised by wriggling rather than swinging seamlessly from front to sides, it gives you a moments rest, but adds to total time.

Thanks ITG, I do do dumbbell work as advised by my physio but hopefully as the 'bad' arm gets stronger again hopefully the right arm will settle down again.

Lovely run by the river with my friend, it's warm and muggy out! She's been given an inhaler so hopefully her breathlessness will get better. We're doing the 10k on Sunday so she's wibbling but will be fine

Ok. I don't have any flat shoes that are work-suitable. At least not for cooler weather.
