We have a club cowbell too - always encouraging to hear that ringing out when you're racing
Lovely morning run in the Forest of Dean this morning. As I feared, my energy levels were far too low for 9 miles, but there was a nice little group of us coming back from injury, colds etc so we did a 5 mile out-and-back instead, which was perfect for me.
The only (but huge) bad thing about the morning was hearing that a friend's sister has been diagnosed with leukaemia

It was OK, a bit lacking in strength, but not painful.my hip and knee are aching now, so they must have been compensating.I think I need to concentrate on cycling and leg strength work with the occasional run thrown in.

That's very sad news, LD.
Dio - yay for your first proper run since the op! Your plan for strength and cycling work sounds good to me. Very sensible.
Excellent news, AL
