Echo what Paula and Fleecy said. Good first two thirds, shocking final 8 miles.
Bint ran up a gently sloping hill but I simply didn't have the legs to go with her, whcih was a shame as we had had a really good run together up until then. She then quite rightly disappeared into the distance and apparently took all the function of my quads with her! I had a poor 20- 23 (lack of hill training) and staggered down the last bit.
That said, having spent 20 minutes post race trying to stop both calves, both hip joints and both quads cramping up at the same time (!) I did enjoy it overall and more importantly it has changed my preconception that you can only do a marathon on huge amounts of training (although it might hurt less:-) )
