Have fun HDS'ers.

A nice bit of parkrun tourism today with DBB - we did Graves Park in Sheffield as ours was called off. It was hilly.

Got home and just took delivery of my ultra vest. Shall try it out tomorrow night.

Hope HDS goes/went well? Thought of you all as I was surveying the icy puddles at parkrun this morning. After my timekeeping duties went and did 5.5 miles - talk about a lumbering plod - hopefully that was just because it was cold.

Too many posts to read back so hope everyone is well, hope you recover soon if you have any coughs, colds or injuries.

Happy running.

Hello. 5 and a bit miles for me this morning. Woke up that wee bit late for park run. Did attempt it but would haven't made it as would be parked too far away to make start. 350+ runners today. So did my 5 at other end of beach.

No word from HDSers?

Yeah Kim a record turnout today, so glad I parked at Satrosphere and ran as parking was a nightmare.

No parkrun here (too icy) so I didn't get to do my volunteering duties. Instead we had our 6 year parkrun birthday celebrations with cake :-)

Look forward to seeing the HDS pics - it brings back memories of when I did it in the ice.

Well Battersea 10k completed this morning a brisk chilly morning today and as it turns out I have to rethink my 5 & 10k targets for the year as have broken them both in the race today,

A finish time of 49:55 ( yearly goal was to break 50min 10k time) and in the process picked up a new 5k time of 24:37 ( yearly goal was a to break 25 min 5k time)!

All that and having taken 3 short walking breaks which made me think I'd blown my sub 50 min goal!!!

But work ha d enough from this starting point and maybe my goal of a sub 4hr Berlin time is a step closer!!!

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
