Morning all. Well done Carp. I ran this morning. Should have run last night but CBA. Didn't want to run either, but feel so much better for it now.
Must try rhubarb vodka as I have loads of rhubarb. Will I need loads of vodka?

for Carp's 1,000 miles. Mave - if antiBs having no effect after 48 hours, maybe back to the doctor? Serendippily - intrigued by the porridge treatment. What exactly is it supposed to do, and is it taken internally or (since a flannel is involved) externally? Like the sound of rhubarb vodka. MM. I made sloe gin once, it was delicious. Should collect sloes this autumn and make more.
LD - I also have good intentions, rarely carried out, re stretching and strength. There used to be a thread for this...

mmmmmmmmmm slow gin I've run out of the last batch I made, must collect sloes this year. Sloe gin is a great addition to a slow cooked stew if there isn't an open bottle of red wine.

Sloe gin in stew? How intriguing!
I went to a wedding this winter where wee bottles of sloe gin were the favours. They were made by different people in the wedding party and each bottle had the person who made it written on it. We ended up having a tasting session on our table - the quality was variable! One wasn't drinkable. I lucked out and had the best batch. Nom.

Columba, porridge is a topical treatment to help calm itching. My niece used to have it in her baths when she was young to help with her exczema.

I love sloe gin and have been perfecting the recipe over the last few years. Lots of sugar and a splash of vanilla seems best.
I bought some rhubarb vodka at a food festival recently, also lovely, though I prefer the sloe gin. OH preferred the rhubarb as it wasn't quite as sweet-in fact he ordered some more! I also tried the raspberry vodka (or gin, can't remember) which was lovely
