I have no complaints at all about the 46. It was wonderfully well-organised.

It was, we were impressed, I was expecitng bikes all over at the Olympic park but it was fine, as was the 2nd hub we stopped at. I just learned to hold my line on the busy sections and be careful overtaking slower riders

Has anybody loaded up the 46 route? The Pru website is a bit shy about showing it...

It was a lovely route. Right through lots of recognisable landmarks in central London, through some towns with lots of support, more or less flat apart from a few inclines early on for bridges/tunnels and three small hills in Richmond Park and Wimbledon-ish. Wouldn't like to do it on open roads though!
I think with the 46 you'd be less likely to have issues with crowding/accidents/diversions as you miss out all the narrow Surrey lanes

Happy birthday McG 🎂

To divert a bit from all the cycling talk: I went to catch a bus this morning, and could see (before reaching the main road that the bus comes along) that the traffic was slowing right down. Thought it must be temporary traffic lights but no; when I reached the main road I could see there was a swan walking along it, slow and sedate, right in the middle of the left hand lane. Everything was pulling out and going cautiously round it.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
