You don't.

Saw the swan again from the bus; it had left the road and was resting on a wide bit of grass verge.

I hope so too.

This morning was a bit of a shock - the bathroom sink waste pipe broke and started pouring water onto the floor. I had to bugger off the work so basically handed by wife a plumbing problem at 6am.

She may have forgotten to do the cake :-o

Your cake could be interesting then. You may get all of it in your face when you walk in the door :-)

I hope one of them's baked you a cake McG.

Track session tonight, on a school playing field. I have decided to have a rest this evening instead.

I am feeling very pleased with myself because I am *still* following my training plan :-).

Today was meant to be a swim and I did finally get in the pool. I tried to increase my stroke rate while keeping good technique, which was quite tiring so I had to have some rests at the end of every half dozen or so lengths. It was a good workout though I'm not used to swimming in such a shallow pool - I know now what a bottom-feeding fish must feel like :-)

I like the idea of growing your own decoy (decoy teen)
Well done RA bunting
Well done cyclists and runners and swimmers
Move along sedate swans and head up swimmers
Happy (late) birthdays McG and Kim
Tried putting foot down flat and shuffling a little. Calf did not like it. Boo.

Hello, I have missed over 300 posts - work, work, work, wobble, work - not altogether enjoying new contract, so trying to end it a tad sooner than planned. Then want to get back to personal training and really concentrate on running again. Funny, whilst running am not a great fan - but when I can't give it my all, I really miss it.

Hope everyone is good? Am doing Yately 10k this Weds - think RA is or I might have made that up?

Ran hard at parkrun at the weekend - first time in a year, as all other times have been using it as an easy run, around marathon training etc. Enjoyed the buzz.

Play nicely everyone x

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
