Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I tried that one last year, Nico, and I heartily concur. There was a 10% cinder toffee stout on in the black cat last night that I wasn't quite brave enough to try.

A bit of pouring practice perhaps.

Stupid draught-flow cans ;)

It settled out quite nicely in a couple of minutes (incidentally, the reason we used to buy a wee nip to go with our Guinness when I worked in Ireland - so you could enjoy a drink whilst waiting for your pint to settle).

I had a short-lived phase of Guinness drinking, mainly because I worked with a few Irish lads in Kilburn in that there London. I also had a short-lived phase of having a whisky chaser, but generally speaking I have had a lot short-lived drinking phases, proper beer is the constant.

Unexpected bonus beer last night, a can of Blue Moon Belgian wheat beer.

Very nice.

Today just a generic chain pub draft cider, no idea as someone else bought it!

About This Thread

and here we are in 2025....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise, besides it's quality I prefer not volume.

Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2025, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.

Also interesting to see how variable local areas are!
