Catching up from a recent weekend away.

24. Harbour Special (Tintagel Brewery) 4.8% - cask - Amber bitter with nothing 'special' about it.
25. Nook of Pendle (Reedley Hallows Brewing) 5.0% - cask - Pale Ale
26. Lowry (Hydes Brewery) 4.7% - cask - Golden Ale.
27. Granny Wouldn't Like It (Wolf Brewery) 4.8% - cask - First time I have come across this draught. Went down better than the bottled version I had some time ago, but then again I was on my hols this time...
28. Phantom Pale Ale (ALDI by Freak Aleworks) 4.8% - can - American Pale Ale.
29. Splendid Tackle (Skinners Brewery) 4.3% - cask - Golden Ale
30. Whakahari (Purple Moose Brewery) 4.3% - cask - English Bitter
31. Razzmattazz (Beermats Brewing Co.) 5.2% - cask - Pale Ale

Back on the wagon again until the next trip away.

Not a fan but the Wakahari was fairly decent to be fair, OC. However there is also some history that tarnishes my general opinion of them.

Many years ago I made a trip to their brewery shop in Porthmadog when holidaying in the area. Although I ended up buying 4 crates of 24 bottles I really regretted doing so in hindsight. Never have I come across such an ignorant person in my life that served me that day. The shop was empty but my being there was clearly an unwanted distraction for them. Rude is an understatement.

I can hold grudges for many a year ... 😉

I have been to that shop. The person that served me hadn't a clue about their beer ( which I found a bit odd) but was nice enough!

I had a bottle of Arran Blonde last night. Wasn’t how I remembered it. Might have to buy another one today just to make sure. :)

39(ish) - Rascal's Fruitopolis Pale Ale 4.3%
Not really my thing.
Interesting, but in a more pleasant way than interesting times.

49. (can) Athletic Brewing Upside Dawn (<0.5%). Another TK Maxx buy, I'm really glad I picked this one up. Not just nice for alco-free, but nice full stop.

Will have to head back and see if they've any more (it was in the clearance section at 90p a tin).

Indeed.

About This Thread

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
