Cans

Stella Artois unfiltered

Congratulations to the Belgians, a triumph of marketing. Taking a load of fucked up, sour, flat, pisspoor home brew and selling it to the masses.

Currently relaxing in the Twice Brewed Inn on Hadrian's Wall. Happily, the pub also features a brewery.
12. Commodus red IPA, lovely
13. Consus chocolate stout, very pleasant
14. Sycamore Gap pale ale, refreshing and light
Taken some home for further research 😊

We had a night's stay the other side of the wall from Twice Brewed we we hiked the Hadrian's Wall. Very good. Even better hiking around there.

We had a really nice couple of days in that part of England on our way home from the Deep South last year. Will definitely be going back.

I have a bottle of Bear Island East Coast IPA (4.9%) - it is so nice. Highly recommended. I think it is brewed by Shepherd Neame.

Pale Ale rather than IPA, Shepherd Neame though.

I loved the Twice Brewed beers when we visited Hadrians Wall. I have a couple to add to my list but I need to google one of them because BaronBR bought that round and he didn't know what brewery it was!

A boys trip to a football match in Charlton this weekend has added to my list of cask ales
Youngs original ( as good as I remember)
Yardbird pale from Greene King ( a seasonal offering that is better than the IPA )
Hophead from Dark star average

Keller lager from Meantime (surprisingly good)

About This Thread

and here we are in 2024....

I still really like a pint.

I think this is not too controversial health wise. Lots of beers about these days. I interpret it as different beers within 2023, and you can, if you like; avoid beers you have had before, but as ever the list is yours to do what you like.
