Yay, PM! Def good for busy mums, this one, no? You can count anythign you think counts as valid training. If it's taking piles of bliddy washing up and down the stairs 10 times = 30 mins stair climbing, that counts, right?! So, what number are you on so far - Day 14 in the Big Training House! :-)G

Lovely idea and much healthier than xxx miles in 2011. It's still a bit dauntingly high for me I only reach the hour a day average by doing 4 hours or so on a Sunday. Maybe I'll go for 313 hours, gives me one rest day each week!

It's a little small at the minute... almost 5 but that's because of being an invalid for the first week or so. Now up to an hour's walk a day so I'll catch up quickly :-)P
for this idea.

That's a good idea, we'll set our own targets too. 313 for Naomi and Pesto, how about 200 for you (4 a week?) :-)G

I like this idea - it would stop me being so obsessed with running mileage and encourage me to x-train a bit more. Not sure I can be bothered to log everything though, I've enough on just logging my runs!

This looks like a good idea, I just check 2010 and total training was 307 hours, with gym, biking and hiking thrown in, 365 is possible

Sure Loca, just shout in here occasionally if you've done in a wee e.g. 1 hour bike or swim or 2 x 30 min strength or flexibility sessions. Coolio!
WS - nice total, well done. Shall I put you down for the Big 365? What are your totals just now guys? :-)G

So a quick calculation of what I normally do as a minimum in a week, averages at just over 1.5hrs a day - often it is more than that. But that would be 547.5hrs for the year - so chuck in a few more for good measure - not too many because of tapering and recovery weeks and I think 570 for the year is a good target.
Can I include going for 30 min walks in my lunch breaks? ( I didn't include that in my 1.5 hrs a day) if so, I'll easy go over my target...may have to increase it!

Nice Loca - that's really setting the bar high for this! Loving it! I think 30 min walk counts, absolutely. But for you, is it training? For some people it would be? Your call. Your rules!
I'll put you as 570 just now. I'll have to change mine too, probably. Just realised I'm at 17.5 already, in 14 days! Prob up it to 400. 8 hours a week? Sounds good! :-)G
