Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was pondering that today. It looks like on the day, I think I'm going to taper quite aggressively this time. 2 rest days this week, 3 next, 4 the final week, and my mileage should be this week normal, next week 2/3rds average (32 miles), last week 1/3rd average. (16 miles). I think I will get about 55 miles this week, which means I will hit 2000 at about mile 25!!!

3000Km done as of last night and last years total beaten. XC season is nearly here and then Feb brings my next target race Wokingham Half. Need to get some race pace training in!

Well done Chunky.

Still tracking about 70 miles below par but all still to play for. 50 miler in 3 weeks makes getting back on track a bit sketchy. Hopefully with a careful month and then Marcothon to motivate in December I will get there :-)

Go on SilverStrider, you can do it. Currently we've only got 20 people on target at the moment out of the 88 who signed up. It shows what a challenging yearly commitment it is.

Cheers Chris, guess i better knuckle down to some regular middle distance miles to try and take the pressure off.

Well done postie and chunky! I've got a low key 30 miler coming up in early December and the Brecon to Cardiff (Nantgarw) 40 in early February so my miles are more modest than recently. 2,000 is only a "jog" away now.
Always good to put the miles in while the weather is less harsh and (for me) before intolerable pain strikes!
Hope you do knuckle down SS!

I crossed 2000 on Monday, next target is 2222 (last years total was 2221) I reckon that's a toss up at the moment.

Good luck SM6, I'm after 2140, which will be close, but should be achievable, to make it my biggest year ever.

Great total SM6. Dunno what I'm after as a total! Am running ok despite hip pain when not running.

2,435 was my best total in recent years, in 2013...that's out of reach but I'm ahead of last year's total already.
