Doc, you're a monster!! Run done, quicker than usual in places...fartleking past people on the canal path before heading by my old office, then home again. I'll be gathering stats in a few hours, then a roundup on Monday.

Sorry for the delay for December's roundup! I've been scouring my brain for a topic...
Well done for getting to the end of 2020 - it's been a very odd year and we've had a lot of time to run or not!
Basil - also known as the King of herbs - often found in Italian and Greek cuisine, paired with tomatoes and mozzarella in insalata caprese, flavours bolognese sauce, used in pesto.

Coriander/Cilantro - the fresh leaves are used in Mexican cooking, found in salsa and guacamole. The seeds (coriander) are used often in Indian cuisine and for pickling vegetables. Member of the parsley family and some people genetically find it tastes like soap…one of the reasons some people love it and others hate it!

Lavender - helps relax and promotes sleep, used in perfumes and all kinds of scents, and very good for preventing blistering on burns. Sometimes used in cooking, flavouring biscuits and jellies.

Ginger - digestive root, good for soothing upset stomaches (ginger ale, anyone?) and easing sore throats with candied ginger and a friend of mine swore by it (and cayenne pepper) for laryngitis (she was a singer who I used to accompany many years ago, so she knew what she was talking about!). Used extensively in Chinese cuisine
