Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Five and a half done this morning (including a 2 mile Half Mara Pace stretch) frrst thing before returning home to await the emergency plumber for our leak. Now about to ring the insurance company to sort out claiming for the ceiling and wall needing replastering due to the water damage.

Happy happy days!

Oh joy, it's always fun talking to insurance companies. hope it goes smoothly, Nellers.

Still not running. PF is improving, but very, very slowly. Swimming's OK, but don't like all the faffage involved. Or getting my face wet. Bought a bike when I started losing weight, but found it too scary on the roads, so it's sitting in the shed now.

The sun is shining, so off out for a little walk and a coffee with OH.

Soup for tea.

We’re off out for tea, Italian tonight.
Got my hospital appointment for the Epilepsy 1st seizure clinic today for 2 weeks time.
My bosses don’t want me back before then which is nice of them, but I feel a bit of a fraud asking the GP for the sick note, now called a fit note, as things are progressing ok at this point :(

I'm feeling quite zen about things, WW and JK. It's just stuff. We've still got a bathroom we can use, they're sending an assessor out tomorrow to see what needs repairing/replacing and well work from there. No point getting stressed (although very easy to forget that when there's water pouring through your ceiling!).

No-one died and it's unlikely to prove fatal to anyone from here on either.

And I'm racing on Sunday so I'm NOT going to let it bother me too much.

Glad the PF is improving but perhaps give the Mara on Sunday a miss eh, JK?;-)

You be careful, Neilio. If that 1st seizure came out of the blue then you don't know what the trigger for it was (if there was one). Be sensible and stay safe, mate.

Yes, thanks, Nellers, I am indeed being Mrs Sensible and have already deferred my place to next year. The foot might be up to a brisk walk around parkrun on Saturday morning, but that's all for the present.

Definitely not being fraudish, Neilio - take what's being offered and enjoy.

Neillio, do as you are told even though it must be very frustrating.

Nellers that's a great attitude.

JK still sending you good vibes for your foot. I'm sure I'd be unbearable to live.

Sorry to hear about the leak Nellers, good that you're not getting stressed abou it though. Good luck for the HM on Sunday - my friend is doing the full marathon there, her first ever.

Glad to hear the PF seems to be getting better JK. It must be frustrating when it's a slow process, but you're doing the right thing by being sensible.

No running for me today or tomorrow - I'm catching an early coach to London tomorrow to visit my Nan on her 80th birthday :-)

Glad to hear you've got an appointment Neilio. I think it's sensible of your bosses not to expect ou back at least until then, when you may have an idea of what caused it. Take it easy, and hopefully the appointment will give you some answers.

I could do with taking a leaf out of your book Nellers. I need some zen.

Take all the time Neilio.

As promised I did not run this evening.
