Afternoon all, crikey you guys have been busy. Had day off work yesterday, unfortunately had a nasty headache for most of the day so didn't achieve anything, then our security alarm decided to stop working so had to get someone out to fix it which was a pain.
Good luck to everyone racing this weekend, especially those going for a PB. I'm a bit anxious about Llanelli and not really sure how it's going to go - I'm nowhere near PB shape, I'd like to do it somewhere around 1:43 (what I ran last time I did it two years ago) but the legs are feeling a bit stiff and achy, so I'll just have to see how I feel tomorrow.

Slow roast pork loin for supper tonight...after I get back from my run. It's sitting on a bed of chopped onions, waiting for the broth before I put it in the oven for a couple of hours.

Good luck to everyone else racing tomorrow. Hoping for a new PB under 1:50 tomorrow, but not feeling great at the moment. Hopefully all I need is a good night's sleep and the slight cold symptoms are just my anxious mind playing tricks on me!
Marshaled on the super-muddy stretch of Woking parkrun this morning, miraculously everyone stayed on their feet.

Have a good run tomorrow Stu. I've warned hubby to avoid that area for his motorbike ride...and I must not join the half by accident too!!

Btw, how is the Woking parkrun? 3 laps of anything usually makes me lose the will to live so I usually to go Guildford.

I love Woking parkrun, but that probably has more to do with the people I've gotten to know rather than the course itself. It's rather twisty and is a mix of tarmac and mud. The mud being very sloppy at the moment. I started parkrunning at Guildford, Woking is much less hilly, rather like a 3 lap Frimley Lodge with less congestion.

I've heard there's a bit of a muddy section there. I don't like twisty so much...and I actually like the hills at Guildford. Hmmm, must get my head examined!!!;)

Perfect weather at Grindleford Gallop today. Despite me and my training buddy categorically stating that we were going to take it steady due to injury and general all over niggles we both got PB's! After 3000ft of climb London next month should be a doddle
