Morning all, been busy so just catching up now:
Mrs J - glad the ankle seems to be on the mend
Toks, sorry to hear about your ankle injury - glad you were able to run today without it feeling too bad.
Pedro - great work! Glad to hear your girls seem to be getting better too.
Even though I've been able to get back to normal training this week, my cough is still stubbornly hanging around and I'm getting rather fed up with it. Off to parkrun shortly, hoping I'll feel a bit better after a run.

I cannot warm up today. Even the warm steak pie from the butchers hasn't helped.
I've got a 20 mile race tomorrow. Oh dear!

Oh no, hope you're not coming down with something Huntsman 🙁 Take it easy, and hope you'll be okay for tomorrow.
Don't think I've been properly warm since Tuesday. Amazingly managed my fastest parkrun time of the year today despite feeling a bit ropey still.
Off to the farmers market soon to see if I can find anything interesting.

My longest run in quite a while this morning at thirteen miles. I do like to get the HM distance in training before the race. Unfortunately my interval and hill training has been very limited so I think the ascent of North Hill in Colchester next week could be slower than I'd like. I like the HM distance and tend to push my state of fitness to its limit but I may try and reign it in for a more enjoyable experience this time. We'll see.

Thanks Huntsman - nice to get a bit of speed back, hopefully a sign the marathon training is paying off. I'm sure you'll be fine for tomorrow - at least you've got a guaranteed PB if it's your first race at that distance! 😀 Well done Cog, good luck for next week!

Good running, everyone, well done! Best of luck with any races tomorrow. I'll have a 6 mile league race with a couple of awkward little hills to tackle. This morning I ran to parkrun, parkrunned, ran home, 10 miles done. Will be repotting some of my houseplants this afternoon, as one or two are looking a bit pathetic and sad.
ION, we have received the official invitation to niece's wedding in August - Nonsuch Park. Parkrun tourism opportunity ahoy!
Vegetarian Saturday - throwing some stuff in a pan with some pasta, I think.
