Great running Fizz and FR! Slow 8 miles for me today...and don't feel quite as wrecked as I did last week when I did 7 miles.

Excellent running, peeps, and I'm glad Funky M is starting to get about a bit.
Just had a lovely recovery run, on proper pavements and roads, my feet stayed where I put them and didn't slide about all over the place, or sink in 12 inches of claggy mud. Absolute joy!
Curry for tea, as we didn't have our usual Friday night curry.

Great stuff Fizz and RB.

JK, shame you had to stop, but it sounds like you did the right thing, the terrain sounds awful. Not much consolation I'm sure, but one of the chaps from my club who was running it had to stop at 10 miles.

I'm very glad the forecasters got it wrong today - it was supposed to be apocalyptic for our club 10 mile handicap race today, but apart from a short sharp downpour when I was around the 2 mile point it stayed dry. Managed 77 minutes, which I was pleased with based on current form. It's raining now though sadly ☔️🙁

Ta, jennyh, not really too devastated in retrospect - my old lady legs just won't run on mud. Well done on the handicap and missing (most of) the rain.

I had a slow 17 miles run on Friday followed by a faster (but still slow ;-)) 11 undulating miles this morning to give me 39 miles for the week, the highest for a very long time. :-)

This year I'd reduced the amount of cycling I'm doing (normally 600 miles a month) to accommodate my extra running, but these repeated strong windy storms mean I'm cycling even less than I envisaged :-(.
