Right or wrong, play it strong; as my old brass band teacher used to say My orchestra conductor said the opposite. The most important instruction is the dynamic, followed by timing, and only then intonation. Maybe we were a bit rubbish though and he just wanted us to make our mistakes quietly. 😂 |
