Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Good news Steve. Enjoy your rest day HS especially after your 10 yesterday.

I was going to rest but paced a friend for some intervals and logged another 5.

Well done for pacing a friend LL and your Farmers Walk again hs.
5k in heavy drizzle this morning was nice in one way but shows I have a fair way to go to "get back". Ah well... plenty of time!

Cant beat running in heavy drizzle steve, quite refreshing sometimes, there's no rush for you....just look after yourself.

No running today, felt like I need a rest, so did 30 mins or so of stretching before work...also entered Cambridge Half this morning for 2023.

Well done on pacing your friend LL and you got miles logged so win win.

I did my first run with a friend who is visiting from Hong Kong. That she nearly killed me we will wash over (when you forget she wins half maras and I don’t) garmin was messing about and all I know is it felt like a 7mm not 9:44mm then again she did have me chatting all the way which didn’t help along with the humidity 🤣

Well done for your 5k Steve, but keep the pace "easy" for a while.

Always good to take a rest day Turkhish, and taking the opportunity to stretch. Plenty of time for training for next year's Cambridge Half.

Chatty runs with a friend/friends, are always good GG.

This morning was 6 x hill reps in the forest with a friend, with 50 metre sprints on the gravel track at the top.

You're doing great gg! Chatting is a killer..my wife finds it amusing that I don't want to talk when we run together, but I wanna be in my own world! Never been into chatty runs hs although I have been known to snap a few lines out at various points😂.
Good session there hs.
Yeah, not rushing back into things but in fact... can't!! Still pushing against the tide regardless of recent covid but 4.5 miles this morning was good enough.

Some of our chatty runs Steve, gradually drift into silence, if we up the pace and can't speak. I don't mind solo running, and in the past did most of my LSD runs alone.

This morning was a very hot and sweaty solo road run. It was 3.89 miles at recovery pace.

It's very rare I run with anyone and enjoy a steady chatty parkrun occasionally and very rarely a Sunday run with a local running club.

Take care with your return Steve, I'm pleased you're getting out again but don't overdo it to attempt to get that mileage back you wanted. You'll just have to do some running in December :-p

Intervals this morning 5 x 800m again in between a 10 mile run.

Well done FF for your intervals between a 10 mile run.

My parkruns are never chatty.
