That's a damn fine run FF.
7mls of rain overnight but still left everywhere near enough dry by 5am . Nice and fresh on early 5k on trails with better pace than for a month.
I don't measure my HR according to that 220 formula hs. I base it on annual max HR test which was 161 last time. However lately my breathing has been laboured after just thirty seconds of slow running and I have " strange feelings" in my chest which only cease if I walk for a while, and that's at a HR of less than 130 BPM. It's not just the HR but my pace relative to HR which has deteriorated by a whopping three minutes a mile! (I won't even quote pace because it's too embarrassing, suffice to say that it's slow!) Thus the cardiology referral.

Steve, please be careful with your running, and don't exert yourself too much until you have had your cardio assessment.

6 hill reps in the forest this morning, with short sprints over the top, with two running buddies.

Rain stopped play today. In fact I cba'd to go out and really pleased I didn't as I'd have got drenched. Still raining steadily now but we've had a heavy downpour or two.

Picked a bad day to climb a mountain today. Got to the top but couldn’t see anything and was soaked. Went for progressive 5k after as already wet.

FF you did enough is you 1 run than I did in a week. Hope your Mrs is improving.

Great training as always HS and good advice to Steve as usual.

Thanks LL. I certainly wouldn't want to climb a mountain in the rain, or even climb a mountain. Well done for running 5k afterwards.
