I did feel comfortable at the parkrun FF. Things appear to be almost back to normal, with more social mixing, but I'm still very much aware that Covid "hasn't gone away!"

Very true hillstrider and easier to pick up than flu which we're also vaccinated against.

Good reminder.
540+ people at York parkrun yesterday!
Statistically someone almost certainly has Covid!
Still, I mostly ran with only a handful of other people!

Good parkies there hs and LL. Well my ECG came back looking normal as did my bloods. No conclusions during consultation about my drop off in ability/pace/ heart rate but was informed clearly that I, like everyone in adulthood would have a degree of atherosclerosis! To what extent will need private hospital appointment because NHS resources understandably can't fulfill that request from people with no obvious symptoms. However, he did detect something abnormal in my heartbeat when using stethoscope and intends to ask cardiology for recommendations. In the meantime have been offered statins which I haven't decided upon yet . A difficult 5k this morning after aborting an intended long run. 😂

seems like you maybe getting somewhere Steve..must be so frustrating( if not worrying) hope this resolves for you sooner rather than later.
Some good park running going on HS and LL..
8 miles xc this morning with my sunday running group, great weather and a cracking trail route I really enjoy, a bit undulating, but I like a hill or two.
Have a good sunday all.

Good news and also sounds like more tests may give you some answers Steve. Fingers crossed. Cutting short a run not going to plan is wise there’s plenty other days.
I ran 4 yesterday with a friend very slow and steady my chest is still not well I’m ringing doctors tomorrow. Therefore I won’t run today. My training plan kicks back in tomorrow with only 5 weeks to the big one I’m worried about missing too many runs but equally have to let this run it’s course. It’s not Covid (according to the multiple tests this week) which is a blessing. Sick of feeling like crap though.
Was supposed to be meeting work friends today but I’ve said I’ll just pop by for a little hello in the beer garden I would hate to pass anything on.

Things are sounding more positive now Steve. Hope the recommendations from cardiology produce results.
Sounds like a great run this morning Turkhish. I'm glad you like hills, hills are your friend.
I'm sorry to hear that your chest is still causing problems GG, and hope that the doctor can provide a solution. Don't worry about missing runs. To run when not feeling well will only make matters worse. On the bright side though, it's not Covid, so could be worse.
I had a very leisurely solo 7 miles forest run this morning. Conditions were perfect, lovely sunshine 🌞, but not too hot. I applied sunscreen before running, to be on the safe side.

Thanks hs, just been looking my RHR was 50/51 over the race weekend but been 60/61 since Tuesday night so seems something is amiss. I think I’ll skip tomorrows run I’ll message coachy.
Your run sounded idyllic
