I did not run today. My wife has had a very high temperature for 4 days since a Covid vaccination last week, and she was asked to have a Covid test, just about 12 miles away. Amazingly, the result (negative) came back in about 10 hours. We still don't know if it was a reaction, or whether she has an infection. We also had a phone call from my wife's baby sister (66) to say that her husband had collapsed this morning and was in hospital. He had scans, and he came home but they still don't know the cause. I hope to be able to have a run tomorrow!

Hope your wife is ok very soon Evangel and that your sister in law's husband recovers without s hitch too. Worrying times.
Nice change to be back in shorts this morning and just over 10k was so much more pleasant without the bitter wind. Probably a bit too warm for Peter!!

I "exercised" my new rain jacket this morning. Sadly it stopped raining as I stepped out of the door. It keeps water (=sweat)in quite well, so I assume it'll do the same in reverse! It said it was breathable.... Hmm. Still, I hope not to wear it much anyway.

I think a high temperature after the vaccine might be a normal response HS. My boss had flu like symptoms for a few days. Hope she feels fine in a few days. Fingers crossed your BIL is fine and it's nothing too serious.

The snow is melting fast, yippee. Been working so not enjoyed it yet, will be out later.

MMM, my jackets are good at keeping sweat in but not the rain out. Let us know how it is, I might treat myself to a new one.

A high temperature is quite normal after a vaccination - it shows that your immune system is working well, so hopefully will provide really good protection. Hope your wife's sister gets better soon.

Getting a good rain jacket for running is always a challenge. I am coming round to the opinion that it is easier just to get wet a lot of the time.

I agree about the jackets! This one is really for running an ultra with, rather than in, unless the weather is truly foul in July!
