Sorry the virus has stopped your mileage goal this year Loo but hopefully you’ll be recovered and good to go in the new year. I’ve certainly had more than my fair share of colds/virus/covid this year, this current one makes 4 prolonged periods off running I’ve never had anything like it. I’m running tomorrow regardless in the hope it pushes it out.

Falcarious: congratulations.
Cheekys dad: almost there. Hope everything goes to plan in the next few days.
LL: I feel your frustration. I've had years, running on NYE in order to pass the 1000, always thought I'd get there but always knew illness or injury in late December ended things. There's always next year.
Bit of a cold and being out of the usual routine have impacted but two runs to report. Park run this morning and 5km on the treadmill. Mrs Donnie keen to go for a swim, I went with her but upstairs to the gym area.

Good running over four hilly laps at park run hs. Amazing to have so many courses for that park run, only a couple of variations on local park runs down here. Not that I do them! Fabulous falcarius! Get ready for next year now! Hope you're feeling better today gg . Unless something dramatic happens you're going to do it Cheeky!
At least you can cover some miles FF so well done on your latest run. I empathise with those finding it a mental struggle , it makes for difficult running and becomes a vicious circle. Yes, unlike me to not round up gg but it just didn't seem worth it yesterday 😂. Didn't feel much like getting out again this morning, the low cloud, damp and mist still hangs. It doesn't inspire me one bit . A mile or so used to be a warm up or cool down but now it's my max! My wife reminds me that I'm the same every winter. I'm only completing miles now to complete a six month streak. If I felt good though I wouldn't be hanging on in such desperation 😂.

Well done Donnie1 for yesterday's parkrun and 5k on the treadmill.
Thanks Steve, the original parkrun course was 2 hilly laps, but the little footbridge over a stream collapsed, and therefore, other courses had to be found.
Well done for getting out this morning in the cold and damp, especially whilst not feeling like it.
I ran a solo hilly 3.94 miles on roads this morning. It was very cold and misty, and my hands were freezing, despite wearing gloves. I didn't round up my mileage, as I was so cold, and couldn't face running any further, as I was outside my home. 🥶
