Glad you’re feeling better Lesley wish I could say the same woke up with a scratchy throat again. I’m hoping it’s just due to too much talking at the weekend.
About to load the car and set off for my Jordan adventure it doesn’t seem real that it’s here! I just pray the sore throat doesn’t make a come back I’ve got plenty paracetamol and ibuprofen as well as throat lozenges packed. Hoping the sun sorts it out. I’m also absolutely exhausted so I’ll be sleeping on the plane tomorrow. But it will be amazing
Sounds like a nice 8m hs out woods are similar drying out but still muddy in places. I had to call fire brigade yesterday one of the fields some idiots had a fire which was out but smouldering. With that wind I thought it was best rather than risk it taking bond again what is wrong with folk? I did see them when they arrived and they said if done the right thing.
Right best get myself on the road. I’ll try to do the odd update.

Best of luck with your Jordon adventure GG, and I hope that your sore throat doesn't return.
This mornings forest 8 miles was good, but I was beginning to feel the effects of Saturdays parkrun during the final mile. Tomorrow is a rest day, except for the Farmer's Walk.
It's the time of year for forest fires, and we are always dreading that one might start "in our neck of the woods!"

Long time Lurker...good to see some familiar faces from like 6 years ago.
I am back running properly again, having had a sinus operation last August after waiting like 3 years.
I might be 27.5% below the target but I still believe.

Welcome back falcarious. Glad you're able to run properly again . Quite a distance you did hs, well done and wise with a follow up rest day albeit with the Farmers Walk thrown in. Keeps you ticking over!! Oh heck, exhausted on route gg! Hope you've caught up on some 💤 before taking to the sands! Enjoy yourself. An outing this morning with Torey ( my wife) of just 3.4 miles but on a hillyish route. She doesn't mind having to accommodate my run/ walk regime so an easy session for her . I'm pleased enough to be almost on 100 miles for the month again.

Welcome back falcarious, its been a long time since you last posted on here.
Thanks Steve, I didn't do the Farmers Walk this morning, see below.
Well done for this mornings 3.4 miles with Torey. Your mileage is impressive, as it was last month.
I decided this morning that I fancied a haircut, so I drove into the village. I haven't got much hair, but the new female (am I allowed to use that word nowadays?) hairdresser did a good job. Shorter than usual, and very neat.
On the way home, I drove into the supermarket, so didn't have to walk with the 4 bags.

This morning was 4.67 miles, including 6 reps round a hilly road circuit of 0.32 miles, with a running friend.

I can truly say I've never "fancied" a haircut in my life hs! Hairdresser?!! Barber!!! Female?! Of course unless they ( note the pronoun!) identify as something else! Silly world has evolved. Well done on your reps. Do you think you'd lose your pace if you didn't do them? Good that you've recovered well Dave_K. 5.2 miles on part road and part trails, it was only 3c when I went out but nicely dry and calm. Should hit the 100 miles for the month tomorrow which is so much better than where I was last year.
