It was a very soft fall, my feet just slipped and I landed backwards in the snow.

Wow that looks pretty GG. Hope you're ok.

Well done HS and Steve on your runs.

Good to see you back Jaks, recovering well?

No run for me today, we were on the local steam train with Santa. Still freezing cold and we now have a burst pipe in the garage. OH is currently fixing it.

Wonderful seasonal pics gg.... nothing like that here. It's warming up now slowly and rain continues.
Steam train ride sounds a good alternative to braving the chill Lesley and hope the burst pipe didn't cause too many other problems.
Next Saturday's Park Run I'd a good target then hs. Fingers crossed for perfect weather!

Lovely photos GG. Sorry that you feel, but seems like not too bad.

Thanks Lesley, the run went better than expected.

That sounds lovely, a ride on a steam train with Santa 🎅

I hope that your OH has managed to fix the burst pipe in the garage.

Thanks Steve, I do intend to try for a good time in Saturday's parkrun. It will be our local one, which now has routes A to D, depending on weather and conditions of the terrain. Route D is 4 laps finishing up hill, so not the quickest.

I'm not running today as I'm taking my laptop in for a health check, and to renew my maintenance contract.

A very murky and wet 3.1 miles . I got up at 5.30am and decided that it might stop pouring with rain if I left the house later. 10 am and nothing had changed so it was a very soggy puddle ridden trail outing after all😂.

Good to see the Welsh women's marathon record being broken in Valencia over the weekend.

wet indeed Steve!
I got wet on my run to work and looks like I will get wet going home - glad I had more than 1 pair of shoes for tomorrow's run

HS I did a "farmers walk" on Saturday with cat litter - managed 2 mins before I had to take a mini break!!

If I don't cross the line tomorrow I will Thursday! OMG!
Have set a target for next year of 1200 which feels really tough

Well done Steve for this mornings wet and murky 3.1 miles.

EP, it's always a good idea to have at least 2 pairs of trainers. If I remember, I stuff the wet pair with newspaper, which helps them to dry out quicker and also keep their shape.

Well done for your first Farmers Walk 🚶‍♀️ My walk back from the supermarket is about .8 mile, and when I first started, I had to stop and put the bags down several times. I now manage the whole way without stopping. Practice makes perfect 😀

Good luck with next year's target.

Argh bring back the snow, we now have rain which has melted the vast majority of the snow but it's left behind stubborn ice patches when with rain on are lethal. Icy cold puddles that cannot be avoided and it was so heavy I might as well have ran in a wetsuit. Anyway 3.8 done gets the miles ticking along nicely.

Hope you didnt get as wet going home Pix, and I'm sure you'll smash 1200 next year the way this year has gone.

5.30 was a very early getty up Steve I only do that when I really have too - like tomorrow's southbound work trip (already wishing I'd refused to go)

Your post about the steam train brought back fabulous memories, when my friend's children were small I tagged along on Xmas Eve (or as close as they could get tickets) for a steam train ride to the North Pole. The excitement on there was the perfect preparation for the festive period. Hope little man loved it as much as they did.

HS I don’t intend to do more farmers walks! That was a very long 4 mins!

GG I got very wet and 1/2m from home a lorry went through a puddle sending up a wave!

8.2m to go! Still can’t believe I’ve done that many miles seems unreal
