I have a set of yaktrax Haggis, i'm just not comfortable running when it's icy. Maybe will look into another pair of shoes.

Wet and windy at Aberdeen beach today, still managed a decent time in the 3k race there at lunchtime. Had numb hands before we started though - left my gloves in my locker - will not make that mistake again.

I did a measly two miles this afternoon---and I never run well in the afternoon. It showed! I prefer early mornings as a lot of 1,000 milers will know.
Ice still Lesley?! Nothing like that for us down in South Wales but getting chillier. Thank goodness the gales have gone.

It has disappeared for now but forecast is for freezing temps and snow tonight. The ice will return tomorrow most likely.

All this running.... I'm exhausted thinking about it!

Been back to the doctors, more antibiotics and blood tests :-(

Oh Mrsb...you must be right cheesed off--but I still reckon you need to take more care of that body and look at longer recovery periods. You've done so much and put such a lot into your running this last couple of years, often without much of a break between efforts. Hope you're ok soon.

On the Home page there should be a big notice asking you to enter your goals for either running, swimming or cycling. Enter the miles you want and the writing on the right hand side should indicate it's been noted. As far as I know that's it. However, even that's how I did it my wife can't get hers up on the 2,000 mile target list so maybe I've missed something --although mines there ok! Good luck!

A muddy parkrun this morning helped to keep the mileage going :-)
