89 exactly after parkrun this morning, in some lovely springy new shoes. (I tend to buy the shoes I like on offer and stash them in the wardrobe until they're needed. I knew I had one pair and possibly two...went to get a new pair and found three, oops! ) |

I have two pairs of Pegasus lined up, but my current ones have just gone through 1200 miles and all seems well with them.

fetcheveryone, Pegasus are nearly indestructible, like a Nokia 3210. I used to have 4 pairs of Pegasus, 3 are still in use. They have between 1100 and 1650 miles on the clock and they are still good for day to day running, up to 6-7 miles. I probably wouldn't use them for long runs now. There is just a bit of wear on the outer sole, the profile is still very much there. The upper material is probably going to give in before the soles do. The mesh is getting a bit thinner in places. The one pair that I retired had 1150 miles on it and I had to retire it because of the upper material getting holes. |

I think that’s what will go with mine. Still plenty of tread, just a small cloth hole behind the Achilles on one of them - probably because I don’t untie my laces ever.
