I've been glad to have my treadmill several times over the years, most notably when the threat of having to quarantine was hanging around and then in January 2021 when the ground was icy a lot of the time.

I used to (very) occasionally use the one at work but even if it’s icy I’d rather be outside. The thought of having one to walk in while working was in response to the fact I barely move off my chair all day wfh.

I might have become glad of our basic indoor cycling kit if I'd had to quarantine. We have a useful collection of weightlifting equipment too.

Yep. Also have a very basic turbo setup. And, thanks to Mr Ness' keen interest in weight training, an extensive set of weights for my weight training sessions.

It’s a big expense. All the research says buying a cheap one is a waste of money, a good one is going to cost £1K +.

A double garage was a big positive about our house when we were looking.
