Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done everyone! Lovely to see some strong starts to the month. It's definitely still muggy.

No running here since Thursday as my calf has been very grumbly, though much better today so I'm hoping for an easy test run on Tuesday (no running slots tomorrow). Though it's a good thing I wasn't running this weekend - we've been away and although I did optimistically pack running kit, I've just discovered on unpacking back home just now that I'd forgotten a sports bra, so that would have scuppered any plans anyway!

Hope the calf settles CasB. I did the same recently on a weekend away I managed with a normal bra for a coupe of short runs

Using HR until calf went twinge again
Think the run walk approach acts as a nice warm up whereas I run non stop (slowly!) when using HR so will resume run walk!

Mini taper this week for 10K on Sunday, so will prob only do 3 short, gentle runs this week. Will pick up mileage next week, hoping 10K doesn't crock me!

Very impressed with run pre 7am Ness et al! :-) G

Bit of a cutback for me this week- not really a taper- since I'm "racing" (term used lightly!) a half on Sunday. 3 and a bit this morning, still very muggy. Lots of cars still parked on the racecourse after yesterday's "family" meeting. (How much did Daddy or Mummy have to drink, then? :) )

Thanks Ness and gg. EP your run walk plan sounds good, might join you for a few days while I see how this niggle is 😀

Good luck Happy G, 3M and anyone else getting ready to race!
