I think it was better organised this year, AJH. The food situation got a bit silly last year, reaching a low point one day when the kitchen staff had scoffed what was left of the hot food even before us fourish-hour runners had got in.

Food situation was much more equitable this year, everyone got the same thing - sandwiches, pasta/potato salad etc and hot soup. I was lucky with my support crew bringing me hot stuff.
If I'd done one thing differently, it would have been to forget about the time and not even wear a watch. I went out for a time and it turned out to be too much pressure (until I binned it), meaning I really didn't enjoy the first two marathons. Chris didn't wear a watch this year and got faster and faster.

is completee's even a word?????? *skinny down* now that is where my problems start, the more i train the hungrier i get, and my will power is next to zero.
Was there anyfeed back about the kit that was supplied this year? looking at the video's a few people wore the stuff, but most of us have favorite kit, just wondered if Asic's though they got enough back from the outlay?

There was no compulsion to wear the Asics kit. There wasn't much interaction between Asics and the runners so I'm not sure what their position is. Very very nice of them to give us stuff, but we didn't have to wear it.
It was a real shame they didn't get actual race vests printed up before the event (the yellow ones arrived at 9.50am on Day 1 and didn't have 10 in 10 or Brathay on them). You should push for that this year as it would make a big difference to awareness of the event and (perhaps), therefore, safety if you were all branded the same.

Definitely skinny down! (if you are carrying more than you need!!) The food quality and quantity is plenty to not need a 'reserve' to start with - and it's easier to lug around less weight!

Naomi - we said the same the year before!
Event vests worn to other races prior to the event would have done loads to advertise it!

Jeez, I really could have done with putting some on beforehand, found it next to impossible to eat enough, especially after 5 or 6 days when you're tired and totally fed up of the sight of food.
I got 10 in 10 shirts made up post the 2010 event which people definitely notice and comment on. Shame we've had to do it ourselves (particularly given underwriting it has personally cost me about £100).
