Pegg, my count has come from maximising the easy pickings near home by varying my routes, doing races that aren't on home turf, running while away from home (holidays, visiting my parents), and taking the opportunity to run when I've had another reason to drive somewhere. I haven't - yet! - driven anywhere just to do a training run this year, but I'm prepared to, especially when the Fetch challenge route is in the area.

Pegg, I run from home on the whole and tend to run long. I'm finding back roads I haven't run on before and for the first time ever I'm doing some off road running too. This morning I had to drop my wife off at hospital and carried on up the road to run in a new area, 1 to extend my conquercise lawn and 2 to collect some blue circles.

I also have scope to pick off lots more circles by driving to work early and running from there. I work 15 miles from home in an area well supplied with pavements and footpaths.

A terrific haul minardi.

I gained 171 today from 8.75 miles on new territory.

Mile 10 is my idea of the end of the earth, though I've never quite been to that point. I hope there was a bus home for you.

This is what it looked like - I was fortunate that the tide was in and there was a ship going out. The two mile stretch out to mile 10 at the end was absolutely beautiful. No bus home but himself picked me up instead!

I had got my eye on that stretch out there but now I'm training I was biding my time for that.

My only run around there went from Boston to New York and on to Coningsby.

It's interesting to hear how you all collect your circles. I've rarely gone far from home so far this year (wfh, not visited family yet) and I've covered most of the local runnable roads. So I'm going to have to start thinking about driving to new places to run, and checking out the local bus routes I think.

I've got a few weekends coming up over the next couple of months that will take me further afield so hopefully my circles will benefit from that!

Count the blue circles on the map view in your training log for this year. HINT: Fetch does the counting.

Possible targets include 10,000 in total, 10,000 just running....
