I am a slow runner who is trying to go faster and be thinner. I am a member of Red Rose Road Runners whose ethos appears to be 'who gives a shit if Preston Harriers are faster, we can drink more beer and eat more cake, see you down the pub.' I joined them because I want to do some races with them. I am also a member of Lancashire Lasses running club - because they run on a night when I can go and they do drills and stuff that I wouldn't do if they didn't make me. I teach maths to adults, I'm a Methodist Local Preacher, a mother and married to Longwayround, who is lovely.
I love running (obviously), knitting, taking photographs, cycling, swimming and knitting. And I quite like knitting too. Oh, and I drink real ale, I don't like being patronised or called 'love' - I am something of a feminist.
