Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Eddie said: 3 hours

An absolute bloody cracker of a run.
Felt super strong throughout and ran with a perma-smile at the blue sky and the sunshine and the sheep and the birdsong. Between Southease and the double masts I didn't see a single soul. In fact the whole route was much quieter than expected.
At Alfriston a runner joined from the direction of Seven Sisters. We said hello and then he and I played cat and mouse passing and re-passing each other and making wry comments about the climbs.
I flew passed him on the descent into Jevington (I'm really working on my descending) then he caught me on the climb back out and we fell into step hiking and then running for a while. It was really nice to chat and run with company. It made me especially happy when he said he started running when he turned 40, 4 years ago, and I said I started running when I turned 40, too - 15 years ago. His "Oh wow!" made this old lady feel very good about holding my own and running strong alongside him.
Ran in road shoes which was an excellent choice - super dry out there
Forgot hat and sunscreen though which means I have one pink arm. and a pink nose.
Fueled and hydrated really well though would have hydrated better had I not covered myself and my race vest with electrolytes when the top came off one of my soft flasks when I was swapping them over :-)
