Do you do any skipping? It might be useful for developing strength and a springy step in your feet. You could discuss with your physio to see if they agree.
I think waiting till tomorrow makes sense. I know we aren't dealing with the same injury, but my physio stressed expecting some discomfort as part of healing and recovering.
