Baza Might be a bit quick a prediction as training is based on strength and conditioning at the moment, not speed! so we'll see what happens. *Update* Good strong mile, felt great and I'm sure I could have gone quicker! 74s 1st lap, 2:30 with 800 to go but was too aware of causeican sitting on my shoulder. Managed to pull 5m on him on the back straight and held on. Good pics online already(c thread for links). Well done everyone

Zorba Great event....back to drawing board ,though , big time ...Having confidently predicted sub 5 30 ,I crashed and burned on the second lap and never recovered....the race- only policy with not even a jog in between ,midweek, was harshly exposed for the madness it is.. but still a great day !

HappyG(rrr) Yay. Mile the fifth and my 4th, I think. :-)G *update* Great day out, nice to meet new fetchies Coz I can and TK30 and old fetchies (that's the rest of you!) Very well done to _Jnr with her 7:28 at age 10 - very impressive. Many thanks to JulesR for pacing us sub 5:30ers. Couldn't keep RFSQL at bay, but didn't care cos that sub 5:30 gives me my final PB for the year and a clean sweep for 2009! Yay! Thanks to to Llamadance for great organisation. Great nosh n nonsense natter at Corrieri's after too -thanks LorraineS for booking it! :-)G

Ribenaface (RFSQL) Top day at the races! Great fun hanging around and running with you lot, but also got a wee improvement on my mile PB thanks to JulesR pacing us and HappyG leading the way for two laps. Reward: pizza and ice cream and talking nonsense at Corrieri's! :-)

_andy With near-perfect race preparation (work lunch the previous day, plus out for dinner the previous evening until late, and then 5 hours of sleep overnight, which was disturbed due to the aforementioned excellent dinner - the champagne and red wine combination with the chocolate torte being mostly to blame), how could I not PB? Certainly, the festive consumption was better preparation than the 32 mile whw run before last July's Fetch mile. So I was 15s quicker this time, taking 10s off my previous PB. Steady run for the first lap, then let HappyG (MXAAHNG) and RFSQL pull away during the second lap (purely on the advice of my stomach), steady hurty, hurty sort of third lap, followed by SoaPM burning me up on the back straight of the final lap, but me having the legs and stomach-holding-capacity to pull him back in the 100m sprint at the end. Much oxygen debt at the end, so I guess I must have been trying a bit.

Lots of Fetchies at the race (well who'd've thought it?), could have chatted for much longer, but poor Charlotte quickly went downhill so we had to head home, stopping on the way back because she felt *that* bad - she turned whiter and whiter and took herself straight off to bed when we got back. Rebecca was chuffed to set the top Junior time in a PB of 7:28.

Dave_K Another good day at Stirling track with Fetchies. Happy with my time as not really done any speedwork. Think I will try and run with the big dogs next time and try to hang on their tails. Might drag me to a PB :-)

FitterStu Went off too fast and had to hang on. Managed a bit of a sprint finish but nothing really left. Fantastic fun.

Dvorak Getting steadily slower :-) Accepting this time that performance after a nightshift would not be peak, especially on a cold day. Faster than I had run at any point over the last three months, though.
