grumpyconnemara the beginning hurt, the middle was great, the end hurt all over again... the headwind between about 9 and 11 was vicious. But I am delighted with my time - 13 minutes faster than Bristol, and verging on a respectable time for a 1/2.
Enjoyed this one. Friendly, well organised, nice course.

jinxsi Change in plan. This is to be run as a time trial and not a race, so whoever bet on me, sorry hope you can take it off.
But then changed my mind half way through the race and sped up

Sime Good run, started a bit faster then i planned, tried to ease back but it didn't really happen. Kept good pace through to 7-8 miles then the wind hit and was a real struggle down to 10 miles or so when we turned to come back and it was a pleasure to run with the wind for a couple of miles, picked up the pace for the last mile. Very please with the time, a new PB by over 6 minutes.

sluggett Really disappointed with my time once again. Wanted to complete in 2 hours. Put it down to marathon training and trying to do 2 things at once! Probably do Reading next year.

smash Well, the preparation hasn't been the best, not enough long runs, but I have done more tempo stuff this time, and I should be able to do at least 10mm pace. The big question is whether the wheels will come off in the last 3 miles, as I've only done long runs of 9 miles in training. We'll see, bet if you're brave. ** UPDATE*** Blimey! A bit warm but nearly as horrific as I thought it'd be. Not so flat either....
